Massimo Bramandi was born in Naples in 1980. His passion for art dates back to his youth, thanks to his father Ciro Bramandi, and has grown in time. He graduates at the Istituto Statale di Istruzione Superiore “Federigo Enriques” in Castelfiorentino as commercial artist; but, together with his father, he continues his study of the painting techniques and theories.

In 2005 he enrols in the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Bonn (Germany). There, he attends sculpture classes and achieves excellent results. At University, he studies with professors Makoto Fujiwara and Andreas Kienlin, thus examining in depth German art and philosophy, and especially anthroposophy as well as Steiner’s pedagogical approach. His research activity encompasses various artistic forms: from painting to graphics, from video installations to sculpture; it is connected to the use of various materials such as metal, stone, and wood. He is particularly interested in Land Art.

From 2006 to 2009 he works together with the sculptor Marco Di Piazza; he is also a co-worker and project consultant at sculpture workshops in Bonn and San Gimignano.

In 2010 he has his solo exhibition La maschera dell’eroe (The hero’s mask), in the halls of “Lu.C.C.A. Lounge Underground” by Maurizio Vanni and Antonio Parpinelli. Since 2010 he is part of the Società delle Belle Arti Circolo degli Artisti “Casa di Dante” in Florence.

In 2011 he holds seminars on art at the LABA, Libera Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. In 2012 he wins the contest “AP Art UP. Gioventù creativa”, a project that was part of the event Creatività Giovanile, promoted and supported by the Dipartimento della Gioventù – Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri (Department of Youth – Presidency of the Council of Ministers) and by Anci–Associazione Nazionale Comuni Italiani in Ascoli Piceno.

In 2013 he realizes that art should get back to being the shield and sword to face the current problems, starting from employment, which is a real emergency in Italy. This is the artist’s point of view, his inspiration throughout the creation of L’immagine riflessa (The Reflected Image), an itinerant exhibition that started in the halls of Palazzo Panciatichi(Regione Toscana, Florence) and continued its journey in the Tuscan cities.

After the great resonance got by the itinerant art show titled L’immagine Riflessa, which was 3 years long reaching 38 thousand people, his artworks became part of Regione Toscana permanent collection. Then he has been contacted by Health Media Award to realize the steel sculpture Health Angel 2016 which is a prize for the best national companies in the area of healthcare.

In 2016 is born the collaboration with the known anthroposophical school Widar Schule Bochum, in which, with his friend and professor Sebastian Jakobs and his collaborator Silvia Terreni, he realize a new project called Times Of Art, which start from the idea of analyzing themes like the historical research of important artists who have left an undeletable sign in our Country.
